Uwe,

Thank you for this article. I must admit that I feel both shame and guilt. Shame as you describe that abortion happens in my country; but I truly feel guilty for not speaking up at every opportunity. May God give me strength in the future.

If pro-life arguments that can be used with people who don't accept Biblical authority are what is desired, this is a good resource: http://www.l4l.org/library/index.html

This website is run by Doris Gordon, an atheist who says that her belief in the pro-life cause came from taking the premises she learned from Ayn Rand and Nathaniel Branden's Objectivism to their logical conclusion. Whether or not all her arguments are compelling, some are very powerful and could be helpful in such discussions. She helped to bolster my own convictions.

Dr. Uwe Siemon-Netto,
Hello,
A whole article on how a Lutheran should vote but you left a key part out. Where is Jesus in your article? Why is abortion the first and foremost issue and Jesus gets left behind.

As a Christian I decide how to vote on a Christ Centered, Cross Focused Jesus-centric political view. Not on one issue but on The Word of God. When you put a false god before Jesus you are wrong. If we put Jesus first then all the other issues, abortion included will work them selves out. “Pro-Life” as an idol is a false god indeed.

May God Bless you and keep you and let His Face shine upon you this and everyday of your life.
Best wishes,
Barry O'Connell
