Diana Haskell

Thank you, sir, for your post.

I became a believer in large part because of the music of Bach, Faure and Mahler. I know I am not the only one, and your article helps to prove this. Even if were, didn't Jesus leave the flock to save one sheep?

As I have said in a letter penned to some LCMS leaders, KFUO and classical music is a beacon of God for any person, believer or non-believer. God can clearly be seen in much classical music (Rom.1:20). It is a beacon to intellectual thinkers who view Christians as being feeble-minded. It is also a beacon to the Church, who is tempted to relegate classical music as elitist and therefore out of touch with 'the lost'. LCMS/KFUO flew in the face of both misconceptions.

We have much work to do in teaching a good working definition of 'Christian music'. May God be glorified.

Dr. Uwe Siemon-Netto

Bless you, Diana!
